I am originally from Indianapolis, but now I live in North Carolina. A few years ago I bought a carrot cake and a red velvet cake from Boyden's for my 40th high school reunion. They were undoubtedly the best I have ever eaten. I have craved them ever since. I even wondered if they would ship them to me in North Carolina.

Quite simply, the best. Unlike Long's, Boyden's is a true "South Side" institution. They are always friendly, let you speak how you want, and accept both cash and credit. Maybe the best snickerdoodles in the world, and that is not hyperbole.
